Welcome to Shoalhaven Heads Surf Life Saving Club

We have been proudly serving our community for 60 years. We patrol the beach, we educate and mentor our nippers, we compete, we have fun and we welcome you to come and join us.

Nippers

Nippers is a fun, active beach program for children 5-14 years that introduces them to surf lifesaving in a safe and supportive environment.

Through games, activities and friendly competition, Nippers learn important beach and water safety skills, build confidence in the ocean and develop skills.

But Nippers is about much more than learning surf skills. It’s about having fun, making friends, building confidence and becoming part of the surf club community.

Patrols

Patrols are at the heart of what our surf lifesaving club does.

Throughout the patrol season, our trained volunteer lifesavers help keep our beach safe by identifying hazards, providing first aid and responding when someone needs assistance.

Our patrols work as a team, from new members gaining confidence to experienced lifesavers, everyone has an important role to play.

Being part of a patrol is also a great way to build skills, make friends and give back to the community

Our Club

Shoalhaven Heads Surf Life Saving Club is a friendly, community-focused club with a proud history of helping keep our beach safe.

At the heart of our club are our volunteer lifesavers, Nippers, families and members, who come together to learn new skills, stay active, make friends and support our local community.

From beach patrols and lifesaving training to Nippers, competition and social events, there’s a place for everyone at our club — whether you’re keen to get involved on the beach, learn lifesaving skills or simply be part of a great community.
